This was a fairly good episode I’ve never commented on any of the episodes before I normally just enjoyed listening, in fact I’ve been listening since this podcast first became available on iTunes. The thing that brought about this posting was your final comment about the CTX 1300. Myself and many others that I know find this bike and it’s design very forward thinking and innovative it is about time that Honda got away from the classic look of the Harley-Davidson for its cruiser line. This is not to degrade your opinion and it is understandable that anybody who has leanings towards the classic vintage look would find this futuristic look somewhat ugly. Honda with this bike and in many of there upcoming model lineups is leaning more towards a futuristic sci-fi look pulled from Annamae and other SF sources for their styling cues. I am just old enough to remember that when Adventure bikes was first hitting the market they were called ugly by many of the Motorcyclist out there. But luckily that did not stop BMW from producing them.

    Randy,
Thanks for listening and thanks for the comment. I think you have a point about the futuristic look of the Hondas and my predilection towards vintage style bikes. It may just be one of those things that looks jarring to me now but in a few years when I have seen them more I will be ok with it. That is what happened with the Diavel for me.
